£1.80 – £2.50
A mixture of ground raw chick peas, parsley, onion, cumin and others, that are shaped into balls and deep fried.
The best part of falafel is that it has become the best food alternative for vegetarians because it’s full of nutrients like protein, soluble fiber and folate, but most importantly is because it’s meatless. It is also low in sodium and saturated fats and has no cholesterol and is rich in calcium, iron and vitamin C.
Add cold water to the falafel mix then deep fry the balls in hot vegetable oil until they are nice and crispy form the outside. Traditionally they are served wrapped in pita bread and garnished with tomatoes, cucumbers and pickles, drizzled with tahini and topped with spicy sauce.
